Dan Tortoriello, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, SLR Business Credit meets with ABL Advisor’s publisher, Michael Toglia to discuss his views of the asset-based lending. In this interview, Tortoriello describes how the injection of stimulus money into borrower balance sheets created a one-time liquidity event that needs to be addressed when underwriting transactions today. He also discusses how completion is impacting the market, the importance of creating a consultative relationship with borrowers, and how rising interest rates will impact many borrowers that are sensitive to even small incremental increases.
