May 30, 2017, 08:00 AM

Chiron Financial LLC, an investment banking firm, announced the addition of industry veteran James P. Davis as Director of the firm’s healthcare investment banking practice. Davis is focused on leading the firm’s healthcare transactions,
including mergers and acquisitions, private debt and equity placements, and financial restructurings. He is based in Dallas, Texas.

Chiron Financial has a proven transaction record in the sector for healthcare providers, healthcare services, and medical technology companies. Focusing the firm’s healthcare efforts under Davis will provide clients with the best possible perspective as well as senior-level attention.

“We’re very excited to formalize our healthcare practice under Jim’s leadership,” said Jay H. Krasoff, Managing Director. “It’s a rapidly-changing industry, and having his expertise from both the operational and financial point of view will be a strategic asset when it comes to structuring transactions and serving clients and equity sponsors in this sector. He has a unique understanding of what CEOs are experiencing as they consolidate and evolve to keep up with ever-changing regulatory and reimbursement environments.”

Prior to joining Chiron, Davis held senior positions at healthcare organizations including The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Health System, Tenet Healthcare and Forest Park Medical Center. As Chief Executive Officer of Forest Park Medical Center, he played a pivotal role in the hospital’s development and initial operations, through to the final transition and sale of the asset to Texas Health Resources. He received his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama. In addition, he served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman with the First Marine Division in Somalia and Iraq.
