Freedom Bank Hires New Fairfax County Market President

The Freedom Bank of Virginia (FDVA) announced that it has hired Jogesh Bagga as Market President to lead its commercial banking practice in Fairfax County.

“Freedom Bank enjoys 17 years of history in the vibrant and dynamic Fairfax County market and we see tremendous potential to serve the entrepreneurs, businesses, and professionals across a range of industries,” said Joe Thomas, President and CEO. “We are fortunate to have Jogesh’s experience in developing lead relationships through a client solution-driven strategy and in guiding businesses through various growth stages in partnership with their owners,” added Thomas.

Bagga will serve as Market President for Fairfax County and will be responsible for building the Bank’s brand, expanding its market position, and developing client relationships in the market across all lines of business. He will originate and manage relationships with commercial clients, including originating C&I and Owner Occupied CRE loans, as well as core deposits. “I am excited to join Freedom Bank to lead the Fairfax County market and open up a whole set of new relationships for the bank in the entrepreneur ecosystem that is so strong in the bank’s headquarters market,” said Jogesh Bagga.

Most recently, Bagga was a Senior Vice President in Commercial Banking at SunTrust in Tysons Corner. In this role, he offered the full complement of Corporate and Investment Banking services to middle-market firms, ranging from working capital, acquisition debt, asset-based lending, M&A advisory services, Equity and Debt Capital Markets, Treasury and Payment Solutions, FX and Derivatives, and Wealth Management.

Prior to that, Bagga was a Vice President in Commercial Banking in the Corporate and Institutional Banking Group at PNC Bank. In this role as a Mid-Market Relationship Manager, he specialized in technology-centric firms operating both in Federal & commercial space, focusing on corporate and institutional operating entities. Mr. Bagga has an MBA from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Delhi University.
