EagleTree Capital Appoints Carter as New Operating Partner

EagleTree Capital, an independent private equity and investment firm, announced the appointment of William “Bill” Carter as an Operating Partner, primarily focused on EagleTree’s investment activities in the business services sector. Carter brings EagleTree over 15 years of executive leadership in legal publishing and business information services with deep expertise in driving innovation across the business services sector. He most recently served as President and CEO of ALM, a global provider of news, data and intelligence serving the legal, financial, insurance and real estate sectors.

“Bill’s impressive career, including his leadership at ALM where he oversaw its digital transformation and increased its event-driven engagement and his proven track record during previous executive roles at Thomson Reuters, LexisNexis and other leading organizations, make him a valuable addition to our team,” said Anup Bagaria, Co-Managing Partner of EagleTree. “We have known and worked with Bill in various capacities over the past 25 years and are thrilled to have him on board. Carter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at Tulane University, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
