March 12, 2015, 08:03 AM

Celtic Bank announced that Will Floyd and Joseph Amato have been hired as Vice Presidents of Business Development in the bank's SBA and Commercial Lending Department.  Floyd will be based in San Diego, California.  Amato will be based in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Floyd is a 12-year veteran in the finance and banking industry and will team with Liz Schaper, Senior Vice President of SBA Lending, to enhance the customer experience and deliver even faster turnaround times.  "Celtic's ability to take sometimes complicated SBA loans and take a more common sense approach was very appealing to me," said Floyd.  "I look forward to many years of successful SBA lending at Celtic Bank."

Amato joins Celtic Bank with over 14 years of commercial lending experience working with small business and middle market clients.  Amato's background includes developing, underwriting and packaging commercial financing opportunities using government-guaranteed funding programs.  "Celtic Bank will allow me to capitalize on my extensive business development and commercial lending experience on a nationwide platform," said Amato.  "I have joined a group of lending professionals that are sincerely focused on providing financing opportunities for small business."

"We are delighted to have Will and Joseph join Celtic Bank's nationwide SBA lending team," said Craig Calafati, Executive Vice President of SBA Lending at Celtic Bank.  "Will and Joseph bring a vast amount of small business financing experience with them.  With the addition of Will and Joseph, we look forward to providing small business owners from coast-to-coast with even greater access to capital."

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Celtic Bank is a leading nationwide small business lender specializing in SBA 7(a), SBA 504, USDA B&I, and conventional business loans.
