Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced significant expansion within its Health Plans and Managed Care practice. Joining the firm are Managing Directors Michael Epstein and Jim Collier, alongside Senior Directors Brent Hill and Todd Masser, enhancing A&M’s capability to deliver tailored, actionable solutions driving client growth.
“Healthcare payers and risk-bearing entities (RBEs), already contending with considerable financial, operational and regulatory pressures must now prepare for the additional complexities arising from the projected $1 trillion reduction in federal Medicaid funding over the next decade," said Craig Savage, Managing Director and Leader of the Health Plans and Managed Care Practice at A&M. "As outlined in our recent thought leadership paper, 'Impending Medicaid Funding Reductions and the Strategic Implications for Health Plans, State Budgets and Vulnerable Populations,' strategic foresight and operational excellence are critical for organizations to successfully navigate these complex dynamics. Our new colleagues deepen our ability to deliver practical, sustainable results.”
Martin McGahan, Managing Director and Head of A&M’s Healthcare Industry Group added, "The addition of these senior leaders underscores our commitment to expanding our Healthcare Industry Group in response to market demands. The growth and cross-collaboration of our Health Plans and Managed Care practice with our Health Systems and Healthcare Services and Private Equity teams exemplify our holistic approach to addressing healthcare's evolving landscape. These strategic hires will further enhance our integrated capabilities across the entire healthcare spectrum."
